My name is Jose, and I’m studying at City College. I’m from Brooklyn, NY, and growing up here with the background this place has, has deeply influences my interest in urban environmental issues. Growing up in New York City, I’ve seen up close how environmental challenges like pollution and lack of collective effort impact communities, especially in highly populated areas like Manhattan.

This course has opened my eyes to the dynamic relationship between people and the environment, and I’m particularly interested in exploring topics like sustainability and ecopoetic, focusing on urban pollution and community driven environmental efforts.
